Ash Garden, by Dennis Bock

Bock shares an interesting tale of a young girl and her brother who were affected by the atomic bomb. Most of the book focuses on one of the scientists who helped develop the bomb, then went to Japan to view and document the after affects, and how that experience has shaped his life. The two meet later in life and learn about each other.

The scientist's wife is a prolific and talented gardener. Other than that, I missed the reference in the book to its title.

This was a moving and informative book on the ethics and effects of the atomic bomb. I enjoyed that information more than the story line.
