I love-love-loved the prequel to this one -
The Wee Free Men. This novel didn't have quite as compelling a plot, the the symbolism was still very powerful. I highly recommend reading
this article before starting the book - the symbol of bees is pervasive and meaningful in the telling of
Hat Full of Sky.
